LEXUS OF INDOOROOPILLYMELBOURNE CUP
What do Veuve Clicquot, Macarons by Monika and Ink Gin cocktails have in common? They were all served and enjoyed by guests at the Lexus of Brisbane Group 2022 Melbourne Cup Event hosted in November at Bougainvillea House, Howard Smith Wharves.
Guests arrived at Bougainvillea House at the same time the sun appeared after an overcast morning, which meant they could make the most of the outdoor lounges and beautifully decorated tables overlooking the Brisbane River. The floral displays by Emunah Events were bright and cheery and set the scene for the day which was filled with food, fun and laughter.
Lexus ambassadors Kimberley Busteed and Chris Lynn entertained 120 guests with great banter. They also presented a charity sweep to raise money for Hummingbird House which is Queensland’s only children’s hospice and an important cause.

Some of the menu favourites were the lamb cutlets with salsa verde, spicy cauliflower with coconut labneh and the slow braised pork ragu.
The fashions of the day were captured by talented illustrators from Queensland University of Technology and guests were delighted to take home their portraits as a keepsake of the event.
